Healthcare Reform Perspectives for Children: Comparative Approaches between Israel, United States and Quebec

The H-pod and the Chambre des notaires du Québec invite you to the Symposium Healthcare Reform Perspectives for Children: Comparative Approaches Between Israel, United States and Quebec.

This symposium examines pathways towards legislative and policy reforms within health systems on issues regarding children. Considering the interests of the child in health matters raises lively and sometimes controversial questions, which do not always call for a single vision and answers within countries. Therefore, this virtual event will highlight and explore how children-related matters manifest themselves in Israel, in the United States and Quebec and the possible solutions that can be envisioned, either comparatively or specifically for each of these countries. Throughout the event, two main themes will be addressed. The first panel will analyze the decision-making process for health care related to children and the second panel will focus on the specific case of access to care for transgender children. Researchers from six universities will present their reflections and insights on this topic.
