Scientific coordonator of the Chair, anesthetist, doctoral student in law
After receiving her doctorate in medicine from University of Sherbrooke in 2004, Dr. Marie-Andrée Girard chose to do her residency in anesthesiology while remaining very involved in the medical community through the Fédération des médecins résidents du Québec (federation of medical residents of Quebec).
She also confirmed her interest in ethics and law by obtaining a master's degree in health law from the Université de Sherbrooke during her residency period.
After subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesiology in Marseille in 2010, she now works, most notably, at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Sainte-Justine (Sainte-Justine university hospital centre) in Montreal, Canada, as well as in hospitals in remote areas, including the CSSS (integrated health and social services centre) of Inuulitsivik, Puvirnituq, Canada.
